The right sunscreen prevents UV radiation from damaging your skin in the long term. This damage to your skin doesn't just happen when you get sunburned: UV radiation has been shown to age your skin faster. Skin that is chronically exposed to the sun without protection is also more susceptible to skin cancer. Sunburn directly damages the skin. The red blood cells then carry away the dead cells, which is where the pain and redness come from. To prevent this from happening, you should take preventative measures with the right sunscreen.What does SPF mean?Your skin has a certain amount of self-protection, which can protect the skin for about 10 to 30 minutes in direct sunlight, depending on your skin type and skin condition.
