Was ist Phenethyl Alcohol?
2-Phenylethanol, nicht Phenoxyethanol
Phenethyl Alcohol ist 2-Phenylethanol, ein aromatischer Alkohol. Er kommt in Rosenöl vor und wird synthetisch hergestellt. In der INCI steht Phenethyl Alcohol, gelegentlich Phenylethyl Alcohol.
CosIng führt ihn als Duftstoff, Deodorant-Rohstoff und Konservierungsstoff. Phenoxyethanol ist ein Phenolether mit eigenem INCI-Namen. Phenylpropanol ist ein anderer aromatischer Alkohol. Kein Arzneimittel.
