Was ist Triethanolamine?
Ein Alkanolamin, kein Tromethamin
Triethanolamine (TEA) ist 2,2',2''-Nitrilotriethanol, ein tertiäres Alkanolamin. In der INCI steht Triethanolamine. Tromethamine ist ein anderes Amin (Tris), Triethylamine ein Alkylamin – eigene Namen.
CosIng führt TEA als Puffer, Emulgator, Maskierungsmittel und Tensid. Es stellt den pH ein und kann Carbomer-Gele neutralisieren. Kein Arzneimittel.
